Trainer Development Group
IL&FS Education Trainer Development Group specialises in creating groups of skilled trainers to prevent variations in the quality of capacity development programmes delivered across various segments – since these programmes are person-dependent and not process-driven. The group bridges the training delivery gaps by designing and implementing trainer competency creation and upgradation programmes that:
- Standardise delivery capabilities by deploying trained and certified trainers
- Mobilise, assesse, train and certify trainers
The group trains using:
- Case studies
Simulations of real life incidents, followed by a set of open-ended questions that participants discuss and resolve - Concept boards
Uniquely designed boards, similar to board games, on which a particular concept is presented in many of various forms. Used as a competitive game or as a discussion trigger - Exercises
Individual or group exercises including discussions, games, and experiential learning - Quizzes
Open or team format quizzes to test learning of content material - Role plays
Real life situations simulated through smaller groups who are given roles and enact a critical part of the scene to learn or test application of learning - Written work
Individual questionnaires or worksheets to establish personal involvement and individual accountability for learning - Presentations
Slides and video presentations for standardised inputs
Our services range includes two major trainer enhancement packages:
I-TRAIN
Includes trainer review, assessment and instruction, along with a certification programme. The programme includes:
- Setting up uniform standards (measurable benchmarks) for trainers.
- Standardisation of the selection procedure of trainers
- An assessment system for training preparation and delivery skills
MASTERY
A comprehensive training skills programme designed to empower trainers and to add value to the process of transforming rural youth to competent employees. The programme develops knowledge in the four areas:
- Understanding trainees
- Understanding the urban context
- Understanding the job market
- Understanding the needs of the training environment.
All these are taken care of through active learning using participative training skills and methods. Participants are trained, assessed and certified on the basis of their training skills and knowledge.
