Training on New Dimensions in Agricultural Extension Management
A training programme on New Dimensions in Agricultural Extension Management under the Cotton Technical Assistance Programme (CTAP) was organised by Directorate of Cotton Development (DoCD), Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture (Governement of India) at National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad (India) during September 10-24, 2012. A total of 18 participants comprising extension functionaries from participating African countries joined for the 15 day long training.
The Inaugural Session was attended by Dr Anupam Barik (Additional Commissioner - Crops, Ministry of Agriculture), Shri SM Kolhatkar (Director, Directorate of Cotton Development, Mumbai), Representatives from PMA (IL&FS Clusters). Dr P Chandra Shekara and Dr S Senthil (Course Directors) and other MANAGE Faculty members also attended the Inaugural session.
The Cotton Technical Assistance Programme is being implemented by premier institutions under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Directorate for Cotton Development and IL&FS Cluster Development Initiative Limited. IL&FS has been also engaged for implementation, overall coordination and monitoring of the Programme.
