Mr. S. Ramodarai, Advisor to Prime Minister on Skill Development visited our flagship IL&FS Institute of Skills (IIS) based in the heart of Delhi?s industrial cluster Okhla. Mr. RCM Reddy, MD and CEO, IL&FS Skills took him around the facility, explaining the strengths of our placement linked skill development model.
During his visit, Mr. Ramadorai interacted with IL&FS staff, trainers and the learners. He discussed the significance and the need to provide a major boost to the skill development of the youth for enhancing their employability in the job market.
Spread over 16,000 sq ft, IIS Okhla offers skills training in multiple sectors including services, manufacturing, engineering and construction.
Under our Joint Venture (JV) company with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), IL&FS Skills Development Corporation (ISDC) we are setting up 100 IL&FS Institute of Skills (IIS) and IL&FS Skills Schools (ISC) that will impart world class skills training to 2 million people by 2021.
