Bamboo Park and Rubber Park Inauguration Ceremony, Tripura
On 27 Jan 2012 Mr. Manik Sarkar, Chief Minister - Tripura laid the foundation stone for India’s first Bamboo Park in Radhakishore Nagar, Tripura. Mr. Sarkar also inaugurated the second Rubber Park in India. The Bamboo Park has been set up by the Ministry of Commerce under Assistance to State for Infrastructure Development for Export and Allied Activities (ASIDE) Scheme to promote bamboo based industries in the country. IL&FS Education has been appointed as the PMA for the park by the Ministry.
Thought Leadership Seminar, New Delhi
On February 4th 2012, IL&FS Education conducted Thought Leadership Seminar titled "Raising Teaching Learning Standards to Global Norms" for education policy makers, educationists and principals in New Delhi. The seminar provided an excellent platform for sharing experiences and inputs from different perspectives to impart quality education.
Graduation Ceremony Ranchi
IL&FS Skills recently organised graduation ceremony for the successfully trained candidates under the Hunar Se Rozgar Scheme at Hotel Ashoka - Ranchi. This Scheme has been implemented by the Ministry of Tourism, ITDC in collaboration with IL&FS Skills. Mr. Vikas Anand – General Manager - Hotel Ashoka - Ranchi graced the occasion as the chief guest.
IL&FS Partners with CBSE to Conduct CCE Training Programme
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has mandated IL&FS Education to conduct Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) training for the school teachers teaching in schools affiliated to the CBSE board across all regions in India.
Himayat is a placement linked skill development initiative for training and placement of 1 lakh youth belonging to Jammu & Kashmir next 5 years. IL&FS Skills has been actively involved as training and placement partners with the project. So far 559 candidates have been placed in various companies in Chandigarh, Patiala, Jallandhar and Mohali.
K Class Launch at Dyanprakash Vidya Mandir, Aurangabad
On March 7th 2012, Mr. Rajendra Darda, Minister of Education, Government of Maharashtra, and Mr. Rajesh Tope, Minister of Higher Education & Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra launched K-Class at Dyanprakash Vidya Mandir, Aurangabad.
Mahila Rozgar Rally, Rayala
On March 18th 2012, IL&FS Skills conducted Mahila Rozgar Rally in Rayala as a mobilisation activity under the SEWING (Skills & Employment for Women in Garment) project. More than 70 women (producer members) of project participated in the Rally. Smt. Bimla Devi, Sarpanch officially flagged off this rally.
Parvaaz is a comprehensive skills and education programme for rural BPL youth belonging to the minority community. IL&FS Education has been actively involved as the Programme Managers for the initiative. 15 Parvaaz Centres are running successfully in Haryana, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. 1640 students have been already enrolled for the programme
Parivartan Mobile Health Clinic, Jharkhand
On 29th March 2012, IL&FS Transportation Networks Limited launched Parivartan Mobile Health Clinic at village Morpa in Jharkhand as a part of its CSR initiative. The van was officially launched by Dr. Dilip Kumar Singh - Civil Surgeon. IL&FS Education has been appointed as the implementing and project management agency of this initiative. Staffed by a para-medic and a MBBS doctor, the van will provide community easy access to quality health services and complement the primary healthcare facilities of the Government with secondary public health care.

Certificate Distribution Ceremony held at Udaipur
On 17th April, IL&FS Skills organised a certificate distribution cum experience sharing programme at Bansada, Udaipur for candidates trained at IL&FS Skills School, Mewar.Present on the occasion was Ms. Madhu Mehta, District Head and CEO - DRDA, Mr. Abraor Ahamed, Pradhan and Mr. Chaman Shekhar, Block Development Officer.
IL&FS Clusters Pappadum Cluster Training Programme
As part of its project - "Strengthening Women’s Social, Economic and Political Empowerment in Jaunpur, Mirzapur and Sant Ravidas Nagar of Uttar Pradesh", UNDP has reached out to a number of women SHG members in the region. In the next phase, the program seeks to reach out to more rural poor women, and develop their grassroots level organizations that are commercially successful and independent. IL&FS Cluster Development Initiative has been engaged in developing the Pappadum Cluster in the region, by engaging more women in the production of pappadum, organizing them into SGHs and building their capacities.
IL&FS Education and Government of Gujarat - Mission Mangalam
IL&FS Education has joined hands with Government of Gujarat for ‘Mission Mangalam’, a programme initiated by the state government for the benefit of the women. Under this initiative IL&FS Education will conduct entrepreneurship training, capacity building programmes, form Self Help Groups and help them to get livelihood opportunities.

On this occasion 60 candidates trained under BPO and Retail skills training programmes were also given placement letters. Graduation Day Ceremony - Haryana
On May 23rd 2012, Graduation Day Ceremony was held under Swarna Jayanti Sahari Rojagar Yojana (SGSRY) Project for IL&FS Skills candidates at Panchayati Bhawan in Ambala, Haryana. Kumari Selja, Honourable Minister for Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (MoHUPA), Government of India and Sh. B.K Mohanty. Additional Secretary, MoHUPA, along with other state officials presided over the function. 40 successfully trained candidates were awarded with graduation certificates at the ceremony.

On July 25th 2012, Graduation Day Ceremony was held at IL&FS Skills centre, Hazaribagh. On this occasion 26 candidates trained under BPO and SESS (Skills for Employment in Services Sector) training programmes were given graduation certificates. IL&FS Education's PPTCT-Health Monitoring and Management System (P-HMMS) has won the mBillionth award 2012. The award was received by Project Coordinators Ms. Ajim Nisha from Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Ms. Yathika Patel from Patan, Gujarat. The mBillionth Award is designed as an annual South Asia's leading mobile & telecom award platform leading to larger regional Mobile Congress in media and policy advocacy.

On August 10 2012, Shri Subodh Kant Sahai - Union Cabinet Minister for Tourism and Dr. Lalit K Panwar, IAS, Vice Chairman cum MD- ITDC visited the IL&FS Skills School at Jharkhand. The dignitaries visited the classrooms and also interacted with candidates enrolled under trained candidates under the Hunar Se Rozgar Scheme. Comprehensive needs assessment programme – GSHSEB, Gujarat
IL&FS Education recently conducted need assessment for government and government aided schools teachers in Gujarat. The objective of this initiative was to understand current educational needs, evaluate teaching levels and take corrective measures by exposing teachers to need based training for their Continued Professional Development. IL&FS Education has partnered with Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), to conduct Needs Assessment for around 70,000 teachers of Government and Government aided schools in all the districts of Gujarat.
Training of Trainers - ILO Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh
IL&FS Education recently conducted Training of Trainers programme at Xavier Institute of Management, Jabalpur. This programme was conducted under an initiative wherein IL&FS Education has joined hands with ILO for National Child Labour Project. Under this initiative IL&FS Education is conducting Life skills Training Programme for Master Trainers across 10 districts in five states including Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa.

ToT Programme at BIPARD, Patna
From October 10-18, 2012, IL&FS Education conducted Training of Trainers programme for government employees working under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. A total of 62 participants attended the training, which was held at Bihar Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development (BIPARD) Patna.

In an initiative to provide urban facilities to rural areas, the Government of Punjab signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 2nd 2012 with IL&FS Cluster Development Initiative Limited for identifying potential clusters for the Provision of Urban Amenities in Rural Areas (PURA) projects.

On December 20 2012, a launch programme was organised at @ S K Memorial Hall, Patna for 'SARTHI', a training programme for BIPARD MGNREGA officials. Sh. The 64th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the IL&FS Institute of Skills, Palladam. The Chief Guests at the event were Dr. Ravi Chairman - Fine Fits Garments, Rev. ILO partners with IL&FS for Life Skills Programme
ILO has partnered with IL&FS Education and Technology Services (IETS) to impart Life Skills programme to Master Trainers of NCLP (National Child Labour Project) across five states including Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and Gujarat. 400 master trainers from NCLP schools were trained under this initiative.
